One of my favorite ways to make money online is through Kindle publishing. I like it because it’s probably the easiest and quickest ways to make money. I came across this a couple months ago and have had incredible success in a short period of time. It’s allowed me to quit my job and make thousands of dollars per month passive income. I wanted to show you how easy it is to get started with Kindle, so I’ll show you how you can create your very own book in only 10 minutes.
Now before I get started, this is just the general guideline on the process of making a book. Don’t expect to throw out a book you made in 10 minutes and expect to make a bunch of money. You will still need to promote and rank your book, but the creation process is still the most important part. I will be writing more posts about how you can do this and go more in depth, but for right now, I want to show you the basic process.
Step 1: Niche Research
This is probably the most important part because this will either set you up for success or failure. It won’t matter how well written your book is, if it’s not in a popular niche, you won’t get any sales. Simple as that. Before you even think about creating your book, you will have to do some research to see if there’s a market for your topic.
This is basically doing a bit of research on Amazon to see if your niche is popular before you make your book. You can see if your topic is popular by estimating how much the top books are making per month. Each book is given an Amazon bestsellers number, and can rank from between 1 and a couple million. I have found that a book will only be worth creating if you can get your book in the top 100,000.
For most books, you will price it at $2.99 and with an Amazon rank of 100,000 you will be making around $50 per month. So if you see that a few books are ranked lower than 100,000 and you can create something similar, it will be worth the investment.
Step 2: Book Creation
Once you’ve found a profitable niche, it’s time to start the book creation process. You will basically just have to come up with a title and subtitle. Once this is done, you can send it off to one of many ebook writing companies.
The company that I would recommend is called WriteArticlesForMe.com. They are probably the best that I’ve found and are fairly quick. All you need to do is go to their website, signup, and then send them your title and word count. For a 5000 word book this will cost $125.
I’d recommend that you create a book with at least 5000 words. This is because there is a lot more competition and your book needs to be higher quality than what was required before. So for someone starting, I’d suggest starting with 5000 words and then if it starts selling well, add to it and make it better.
Step 3: Cover Creation
While your book is being written, you will have to create a cover and I’d recommend using Fiverr.com. This website has a lot of designers and cover creators who will create you a cover for only $5. All you will need to do is send them the title of your book and they will take care of the rest.
What I found works best is to search for a cover of a book already on Amazon and send it to them to create something similar. This will better allow them to create something that you will like. You will also already know that this style of cover is doing well on Amazon.
So all I do is send them a sample of something I already like, give them the book title and a picture I’d like. They take care of the rest.
Step 4: Publish
Your cover will generally take no more than 4 days to be made, however, your book will take a couple weeks at least. Once it’s done, all you need to do now is go to Amazon’s Kindle platform (KDP) and signup for a free account. Now you can easily create your book by filling in your books info, upload your cover and book file, and write your description. Click publish and your book will be live within 12 hours. That’s all!
This entire process can be done in as little as 10 minutes once you have mastered the process. Just remember that a lot more will be required on your part because once your book is out, the process has only just began. You will now need to market your book and get reviews. I will be expanding on this entire process in later posts, but for now, I just wanted to share the general overview on the book creation process.
Where To Learn?
Over the past couple years I’ve spent thousands of dollars learning different kindle strategies from multiple courses. What I’ve done is I took all the best strategies and combined them into my own kindle training course called Self Publishing Assignment. Click here to check out my free kindle mini series.
This course is geared towards fiction books and will walk you step by step through the process.
I hope this has opened your eyes. In my opinion, this is the #1 place you should start if you’re new to making money online.
