5 Best Books For Entrepreneurs 2018

In this post, I’m gonna talk about the 5 best books for entrepreneurs in 2018.

Have you ever heard the saying, “The more you learn the more you earn?”

It’s true in a sense…

The more knowledge you do have the better ONLY IF you’re able to apply that knowledge towards something.

You probably know the guy who reads countless books, knows pretty much everything about anything, but is nowhere close to being successful.

That’s why a lot of people get stuck…

They either:

  • Read books that talk about stuff that’s not useful.
  • Read good books but don’t ever apply what they learn.

I’m a big believer in reading but only if the books you read can be directly applied to your life and business AND you apply what you learn right away before moving on.

I’ve read a lot of books that are full of fluff with no real actionable advice and I think those are a waste of time.

5 Best Books For Entrepreneurs In 2018

The 4-Hour Workweek by Tim Ferriss

This is the second business book I read and it’s what really got me interested in building an online passive income business that gave me the freedom to do what I want when I want.

It talks about how to start an online business that allows you to live more and work less because there’s no need to live a traditional life where you do something you hate for 40 years, retire, and then enjoy life.

The book talks about things like:

• How he was able to go from working 80 hours per week and only $40,000 per year to $40,000 per month and 4 hours per week
• How you can outsource the majority of your business for pennies on the dollar.
• How people are able to travel the world without having to quit their jobs.
• How to have a career that allows frequent “mini-retirements.”

The Millionaire Fastlane by MJ DeMarco

This is one of my favorite business books and it’s pretty much about cracking the code of wealth and living rich for a lifetime.

Most people work their whole life to “hopefully” someday have a nest egg worth millions where they can do what they want when they want. The only downside to that is that most people never reach that point and the ones who do are normally too old to enjoy what they have.

This book talks about the shortcut to wealth and how you can live rich now instead of dying rich later. This book really opened my eyes to how much we’ve been lied to about saving your money and getting rich slow. I dunno about you but being too old to enjoy the money I have doesn’t sound that great to me.

The One Thing by Gary Keller

This is another one of my favorites and is pretty much about the simple truth behind extraordinary results.

A big problem a lot of people have in their personal life or business is they try to do too much. They focus on improving or learning everything they possibly can and what ends up happening is they improve nothing.

This book is about finding what really matters the most and focus on the ONE THING that’ll bring the most results. You should be focusing the majority of your time on that one thing and if you’re able to do that you’ll live a more fulfilling life with better results.

After reading this book the one thing I wanted to focus on in my business was creating content. I knew that’s the most important thing I could do to get results so that’s what I spend 80% of my time on. Everything else doesn’t really matter or can be outsourced.

Dotcom Secrets by Russell Brunson

This is probably the best online marketing book I’ve ever read and it’s a must read in my opinion.

Too many marketing books talk about theory and don’t really provide actionable advice but this is the complete opposite. Every single business online needs 3 things to survive:

  1. Traffic.
  2. Conversions.
  3. Sales.

If you don’t have any of those 3 things you’ll go out of business FAST and this book shows you how to do it.

Russell Brunson is probably the most successful marketer over the past 10 years and shares not only useful tactics you can apply right away but also presents it in a super easy to understand way.

He talked about understanding your ideal customer, finding where they’re hanging out online, how to use sales funnels and email marketing to convert that traffic into sales, and more advanced strategies for the backend of your business.

Even better, he’s giving away his book for FREE (you just need to cover the shipping & handling).

Expert Secrets by Russel Brunson

This is Russell Brunson’s next book after Dotcom Secrets and it’s equally as good as the first.

This is more for if you’re wanting to sell information or expertise online and will show you how to find your message, build your tribe, and get people to pay for your advice.

It could be through coaching and consulting you’re offering or a digital product you’ve created.

Selling information online is one of the biggest opportunities on the internet right now and you should be taking advantage of it no matter what niche you’re in.

It covers more advanced marketing strategies (building your audience, sales funnels, webinars, etc) that you can actually apply right away in your business and are super easy to understand

Again, he’s giving away this book for FREE (just cover the shipping & handling).
